The Autobiography of a Greenock Academy Schoolboy
I wrote this after experiencing a major health crisis in 2018-19 which made me acutely aware of my mortality and concentrated the mind on things I had thought about doing but never got round to doing, such as, leaving behind an account of my life thus far - mainly for the entertainment and interest of family. However, I think there are life lessons which may be useful to the younger generations and others who manage to discover my story in the vast ocean we call 'Amazon'!

My extremely talented bi-lingual sister-in-law, Jolie, foolishly agreed to attempt the translation of my autobiography into Chinese! She slaved away at it in between her work and all the usual household and family commitments, but eventually decided it was too big a job. I don’t blame her! But for any bi-lingual Chinese/English speakers out there, here’s a wee taster of my book – it’s all Chinese to me!
